How Programming Works
Your car's immobilizer will only start the engine for keys it recognizes. We connect professional diagnostic equipment to the car, add the new key or fob to its memory, then test the start, the locks and every remote button before we leave.
Bring every key you have for the car. On some vehicles, adding a new key means registering the existing keys again at the same time, and keys that aren't present may stop working.
What to Have Ready
- Your location and the car's year, make and model.
- Your ID and the registration or title — we check ownership before programming any key.
- Any keys or fobs you already have, working or not.
